Cody Wampler and Andrew Johnson received $1500.00 scholarships from the Shelter Insurance Group. The scholarship is funded by Shelter Insurance Corp. as well as local agent Mark Clem. The scholarship may be used at any accredited college or university towards a degree.
Sarah Burgess was a recipient of an EnergySolutions Merit Scholarship. She will receive a $2000.00 scholarship to pursue a bachelor's degree in math, science, or engineering. The scholarships where were awarded to the top 10th grade students in area high schools. Additional funding may be available when the students enter college.
Rockwood Softball Team finishes 3rd in the district, Congratulations! Chastity Smith, Carissa Huskins and Amber Cofer selected All-District. Smith, Cofer, Huskins and Lindsey Booth selected all-tournament. Read more...

Congratulations to RHS Tigers for a winning Baseball season. The Tigers tied the Blue Devils for the District 3-A Title. Zach Breazeale was named District 3-A player of the year. Colden Cooper, Beau Mayton, Zach Duncan, Bryant Allen, and Shane Doughty were chosen for the all-district team. Read more...
Carol Ann Kittrell has earned a 2008 DAR Good Citizen Award from the Avery Trace Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Rockwood's Beau Mayton for being selected Roane County CTE student of the year. He will be recognized at the next school board meeting on May 15th.Change in Location - it will be held at the Central office at 7:00 p.m..
