  • Taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade choir and general music

2. Mesa Jr. High School/Kino Jr. High School- Mesa, AZ

  • Taught 7th, 8th, and 9th grade choir

3. Moon Valley High School- Phoenix, AZ

  • Taught 5 sections of choir, grades 9-12
  • Was assistant marching band director for 3 years

4. Currently the choir director at Rockwood and Harriman High Schools


Mr. Jenkins was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, where he graduated with honors and received his Bachelor's of Music degree in Music education in 2003.  Mr. Jenkins went on to attend Arizona State University, where he received a Master of Music degree in Music Education (choral music emphasis) in 2012.

This is Mr. Jenkins' 14th year teaching, as well as his 3rd year at Rockwood High School. Mr. Jenkins also currently teaches at Harriman High School.  He taught in Arizona for 10 years before moving to Tennessee.  In those ten years, he taught two years of middle school in Phoenix and Mesa, Arizona, and eight years of high school in Phoenix, Arizona.  

Mr. Jenkins also spent three years as a section leader in the choir of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Phoenix, AZ.  He is currently the choir director at West Hills Presbyterian Church in Harriman, Tennessee.  Mr. Jenkins also sings with the Knoxville Choral Society and the Knoxville Chamber Chorale.

Mr. Jenkins is married to his wonderful wife, Erin, has a daughter named Ava, and a son named Justin Jr. (nicknamed J.J.).
